That Devi who abides in all beings in the form of loveliness and beauty: salutations to Her, again and again.

Read in

To this Devi Shakti, present in every class of creature in the world in the form of radiance, brilliance and inner light (smart, brilliant, intelligent), salutations, salutations, salutations.

Kanti, radiance, is a power that is like a pillar holding up life.

Kanti means natural cheerfulness. When a natural cheerfulness arises within a person, it fills every pore of their being. From this naturalness a special radiance appears in the body and the mind.

“The very meaning of Devi is divinity, radiance, a kind of form of light.”

When a kind of bright light is seen within a person, when that person is filled with essence (rasasiddhi), the radiance of beauty moves through every pore of their body. This is called kanti.

When complete peace pervades a person’s inner mind, when there is a mindset that accepts everything, with no dualities and no agitation, and this shows itself rhythmically in mind and body, we call it kanti.

When you live a rhythmic life through such radiance, you can see a kind of rhythm in the way that person walks, rises and sits.

In the same way, in music, in rhythm and ensemble, in instruments, a sweet sound emerges from rhythm and everything falls into rhythm.

The power of that sound is the meaning of kanti.

Look at certain people: the way they speak, talk, look, walk and sit has a rhythm to it.

That rhythmic state is the form of kanti. It is brilliance, perceptiveness, a rhythmic way of being (smart, brilliant, intelligent). Such people are filled with a cheerful, selfless love.

Those without love, in whom peace is not active and there is no cheerfulness, do not live a rhythmic life. Their inner light is not revealed. There is no brilliance in them, and so no radiance (smart, brilliant, intelligent).

Look at such people and you see that the way they talk, walk, look and sit has no rhythm. There is no radiance, and in the end no peace either.

Look at certain yogis. They are full of brilliance, and the form of radiance is visible in them. A beautiful body is nothing special and not essential (not important).

Example: see how radiant children look, because there is no confusion in them: none in the mind, none in the body, none even in their feelings. A fine brilliance and beauty appear there. That is a kind of radiance (smart, brilliant, intelligent).

But even when people are beautiful, fortunate and selfless in outlook, spirituality is very important.

Only when they become yogis and practise the spiritual meditation of Shiva and Shakti do brilliance, vitality and radiance appear in them, and the spiritual form of the Adi Shakti becomes visible. That is kanti.

Within everyone, inevitably, there is a radiance of the Adi Shakti.
